A match made in TikTok heaven? Taye Diggs and Apryl Jones connected via social media and have continued to share their love story online.
The All American star revealed he met the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood personality after he joined TikTok in December 2021.
“I literally saw one of her Instagrams or TikToks, and I just texted, or whatever it’s called, and said that she was hilarious,” Diggs told Distractify in March 2022. “She helped me get a million followers. I love that stuff like that just kind of comes organically.”
One month prior, they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of his February 2022 film Incarnation.
“I LAUGH MY ASS OFF WITH YOU! YOU’RE SO F’ING DOPE!!!!!” the former reality star declared via Instagram at the time.
The Best Man actor responded, “@aprylsjones Who? Me? I’m the lucky one.”
The duo subsequently introduced each other to their respective kids. Diggs, for his part, shares son Walker, born in 2009, with ex-wife Idina Menzel. Jones, meanwhile, is the mother of son Megaa, born in 2014, and daughter A’mei, born in 2016. She shares her two kids with ex-boyfriend Omarion, and they documented their ups and downs on several seasons of the VH1 series.
“We’re cool, we’re enjoying ourselves. We’re having a lot of fun,” the Broadway actor said on Fox 5 New York in July 2022. “These are crazy times, so we’re just trying to have as much fun as we can, and that kind of helps us out.”
One month later, Diggs gushed about his love in a sweet video.
“As an adult, there are times in life where you can’t believe what you’re blessed with,” he began. “The fact that this woman is in love with me, like, I don’t under — I can’t — that’s how I know. Praise you Lord Jesus, Buddha, or universe, ’cause somehow she’s … she’s nice, and she’s with me.”
He added: “For all you people out there who don’t think there’s a God or no higher being or no higher force, f—k y’all, and I know there is, ’cause someone’s looking out after me.”
