The stars attending fashion week this year are pulling out all the stops — Lisa Rinna included. On Feb. 16, the actor and television personality attended the Harris Reed show in London, England, dressed in a plunging embellished top and sequin pants with her iconic spiky bob styled in a “mixie” haircut.
This just so happened to be Rinna’s first time at London Fashion Week, and she chose the perfect hairstyle to really turn heads. The “mixie” is a big haircut trend for 2023, combining the mullet and the pixie cut for a look that’s short in the front and longer in the back (but in a much more modern way than seen in the ’80s). Johan Hellstrom, hairstylist, owner, and CEO of the Swedish hair brand Björn Axén, created this version on Rinna by slicking back the sides of the star’s hair — presumably rather than cutting it — and leaving the length in the back.
Of late, Rinna has become even more experimental with her beauty choices. Case in point: at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, Rinna stepped out on the red carpet with a faux pixie haircut that shocked fans. During fashion month this year, she’s attended multiple runway shows, debuting a completely different look at each one.
According to Rinna’s Instagram post from the big night, the show was also her first time meeting Florence Pugh, who she had formed an internet friendship with. “Love finally meeting you @florencepugh ❤️,” reads the caption, in part, on a video of the duo together.
