We already knew Gabrielle Union-Wade was an endless source of beauty inspiration, but she reminded us of that once more. The actor is in Paris to support her daughter, Zaya Wade, as she makes her runway debut for Mui Mui during fashion week. To commemorate the trip, Union posted a picture on Instagram showing off her high-fashion look, simultaneously debuting some new bangs in the process.
Union-Wade’s bangs were blunt and cut to stop right above her eyebrows. The rest of her hair was straight and fell at the middle of her torso. Union-Wade finished her look with slate-grey sunglasses, a matching blazer, and an oversized black coat for a chic duo-chromatic moment worthy of one of the biggest weeks in fashion.
Blunt bangs have a similar look to baby or micro bangs in sharpness, but they’re longer and therefore, a little more traditional. Depending on how you style them, bluntly-cut bangs can also have a slight grunge feel, making them perfect for the “indie-sleaze” beauty resurgence that we’re currently experiencing. They also work really well to give everyday buns, ponytails, and other styles more visual intrigue.
