Formula Overview
$36.00/0.12 oz. – $300.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have “medium to full coverage” with a “velvety matte finish” that lasts for 10 hours without “bleeding, feathering, or creasing.” They had semi-opaque to opaque color payoff in a single layer with a very lightweight feel–more of a velvety matte but thin (not in a bad way, as it wasn’t clingy) and had a medium-firm feel in the tube. Most shades applied more evenly and were more forgiving of lip lines/lip texture than I expected, which was a nice surprise.
They didn’t cling on uncomfortably, which felt good, but the wear time was nowhere near 10 hours–four to five hours with a few shades coming in at six hours, but it wasn’t a particularly long-wearing/stellar wear kind of formula.
The previous formula was a denser, more velvety matte with slightly more weight and body to it, so it had higher coverage in a single stroke but was more noticeable on. In comparison, the previous formula also had a touch more shine, despite being labeled matte. The ingredient lists are quite different with the new formula being comprised of several silicone-based ingredients in the beginning of the list.
It seemed to have a faint sweet, vanilla-like scent but no discernible taste.
